Two citizens aged 46 and 42, accused of a criminal organization, attempted theft, robbery as a consequence and by profession, were arrested as part of an auto forum early on Sunday morning (4/30), by the crew of an immediate patrol car. At the same time, the identity of a 49-year-old citizen accused of the same crimes was also established.

In particular, early on Sunday morning, a 42-year-old man entered a 24-hour mini-market in the Nice area, tried to clean
amount of money from the cash register, but ran away because he realized that the call center for immediate action had been notified by the store’s security officer.

Immediately afterwards, he went to another store of the same brand in the Nice area with the intention of stealing, but was unable to enter through the store’s security door as the clerk was slightly informed of the attempted theft. previously.

After the searches, the SMP officers, who were called, found the detainees moving in the car of a 46-year-old man, inside of which they found and seized a sharp object, a hood and gloves.

Then they were taken to the security department of Nice – Agios Ioannis Rentis, where their involvement in the above actions was established.

As a result of the preliminary investigation of the aforementioned Service, in cooperation with the Piraeus Security Subdirectorate, it turned out that the detainees, together with a 49-year-old man, formed and joined an operationally structured organization with constant activities, committing robberies, mainly in the early morning, in night mini-markets, where under money and objects were taken away by the threat of a sharp object.

Seven more robberies have been uncovered at convenience stores of the same brand in Piraeus, Nicaea and Drapezona. The car used by the defendants for transportation was also confiscated.

The arrested were taken to the criminal prosecutor of Piraeus.
