
Former President Donald Trump has requested a mistrial in a lawsuit by author E. Jean Carroll against him, accusing him of rape and defamation.
In a letter filed early this morning in Manhattan federal court, his lawyer Joe Tacopina cited the judge’s alleged errors, including mischaracterizing evidence in favor of Carroll and interfering on Trump’s defense.
Tacopina argued that he should have been allowed to question Carroll because he did not request surveillance video of her alleged rape and that the judge would not allow him to question her. why didn’t he go to the police.
