Luca Bresel leads Mark Selby 15-10

Monday’s first session of WC Snooker started 9-8 in favor of Bresel. The Belgian won four frames in a row and went 13-8 at the break.

Heavy favorites to win the Crucible trophy, Selby won two frames in a row (13-10) after the break and showed signs of a comeback.

However, the gap in the standings did not close, Breckel finished the first session of the day with a 5-frame advantage: the score was 15-10. The Belgian still needs to win three frames to become world champion for the first time.

The final of the World Snooker Championship will start at 21:00 and can be followed live on Eurosport.
