
Two ultralight small planes collided Sunday near an airfield in northeastern Spain, killing four people, regional authorities said, AFP reported, according to News.ro.
Firefighters found the small plane on fire in a wooded area near the Moya airport, north of Barcelona, after being alerted by a witness who saw the small plane lose altitude and crash.se, Catalonia’s regional government said.
“After putting out the fire, firefighters found two lifeless bodies inside the plane,” local authorities said.
A few hours later, firefighters found a second small plane that had crashed with two people on board about 300 meters from the first.
Authorities, who have launched an investigation, believe the two planes collided mid-flight.
