
Romanian coach Cosmin Olerou won the United Arab Emirates President’s Cup for the second consecutive year after the final was decided by penalties.

After Al Sharjah, the team coached by Cosmin Olera, won the UAE Super Cup earlier this year after a final with Al Ain, the two teams also met in the final of the President’s Cup.
Al Sharjah opened the scoring in the 48th minute through Mohammad Abdulbasit, but just seven minutes later Al Ain equalized through Togolese Kojo Laba.
In the shootout, Al Sharjah won only after completing 14 rounds with a score of 13-12.
Heading the team since November 2021, Olerou already took his third trophy won (two cups and a Super Cup).
