Like all manufacturers, Peugeot will have to switch to an all-electric engine within the next few years. Indeed, the European Union will ban the sale of thermal cars in the entire territory, and this from 2035. A date that may seem far away, but will happen very quickly, leaving little time for brands to take the necessary steps to adapt. However, some of them are more advanced in this matter than others. This is especially true of the tricolor brand, which already offers two zero-emission models in its range, namely: e-208 and e-2008. But the firm apparently wants to go even further over the next few years.

Electric 308
This is how she lifted the curtain a few months earlier on 100% electric version of its new 308, previously offered only in gasoline and hybrid engines. Thus, the compact car, a competitor of the Volkswagen Golf, has zero emissions and expands the model range. Soon, it will also be accompanied by an electric 408. But as of now, this new variant is yet to reveal its price. If it is unknown for France, then it is for Spain. This gives us a little idea of what to expect. And surprisingly, the price is quite salty…
More expensive than the Tesla Model 3
In effect, the electric Peugeot e-308 is listed for 45,650 euros, the price is higher than the Tesla Model 3 or the Renault Mégane E-Tech. It should be pretty close in France, taxes like VAT are almost identical. If this price is very high, you should know that it is for the entry-level version, more equipped than the entry-level variants. Therefore, we should expect a slightly lower price for other electric versions of the successful compact car.
