Tire: educational advertisement for the coronation of King Charles III!

This is an event that will be celebrated and watched with great fanfare in the UK. On May 6, the youngest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Charles, will be crowned with the royal crown! He will lead UK (Great Britain and Northern Ireland). But he will also have an honorary role of the fourteen states of the Commonwealth (mostly from former British colonies or protectorates). This event is currently an opportunity to advertise the least displaced in the country. Advertising…tyres!

Good English humor

The English always knew how to do it when it came to advertising. On the occasion of the coronation of Charles “the third”, charity organization “TyreSafe” launched a preventive campaign, which did not go unnoticed. In the voice of its president, Stuart Lovatt: “This is an important moment for the nation, which should bring friends and families together to mark the occasion across the country. This means that people will go on the road en masse either for holidays or for a party. We want to help drivers and their passengers have a great weekend and not have their trip cut short by a preventable tire accident. Our message is aimed at drivers of all types of vehicles, from motorhomes and caravans to motorbikes and vans.’

Where is he from?

So far, a very intriguing message, because the connection between the future King Charles and tires is far from obvious! But Stuart Lovatt continued: “In any case, tires are the only point of contact between the vehicle and the road. Three simple checks can mean the difference between a good party and a royal disaster. Take steps to avoid unnecessary risks and make sure your car is fit for a king.”

Three tire checks

This unusual advertising campaign was actually an opportunity to remember the “rule of three” when it comes to tire inspection. Check the pressure first, every month. This is indicated in the manual, on the tank cap or on the threshold of the driver’s (or even the passenger’s) door. It depends on whether you are driving loaded or not. Next, check the condition of the tire. : cracks on the sidewall indicate aging and high drying, which is dangerous. The same applies to the condition of the stripes on the rubber: smooth tire = danger! Any other foreign body on the sidewall or tread should be checked by a specialist (especially hernias, for example). Finally, the minimum depth of tread grooves should be 1.6 mm. Check wear indicators and… good coronation!
