In terms of education, 4,151 refugee students or preschoolers from Ukraine are enrolled as an audience, of which 1,596 are preschoolers and 2,555 students, while 1,133 children study in schools in our country, of which 405 are preschoolers and 728 are students.

The law complements the Resolution adopted by the Government on Wednesday, April 12, which changed the way the Romanian state provides assistance to Ukrainian citizens through the “50/20” program, which will be closed at the end of this year. year.

What money will be given differently for accommodation and food in the first 4 months and under what conditions
Families and single individuals, beneficiaries of Council Executive Decision (EU) 2022/382, will benefit, starting from 1 May 2023, during a single period of a maximum of 4 months, from the following one-off payments:
- 750 lei/month for one person and 2000 lei/month for a family to cover living expenses
- 600 lei/month per person to cover food costs.
To receive this money, applicants must meet the following conditions:
– for the first monththe only condition is that the foreigner is a beneficiary of Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/382.
In order to take advantage of this money, in the first month, applicants must submit an application to the local government of the administrative-territorial unit/subdivision within which they have decided to live, together with a copy of the residence permit for the beneficiaries of Council Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/382 , issued by the General Inspectorate of Immigration, which is currently valid.
Then, within a maximum of 3 working days, the state authorities will check with the help of the IT application the fulfillment of the condition regarding the beneficiary of the Council Executive Decision (EU) 2022/382.
– for the next 3 monthsthe provision of money depends on the aggregate fulfillment of the following conditions:
- a) the applicant and his family members who meet the conditions for employment in the territory of Romania, to be registered in one of the district employment agencies or the municipality of Bucharest or, as the case may be, for employment in the territory of Romania.
- b) enroll minors who meet the conditions for attending pre-university education to groups/classes/educational formations in pre-university education units as preschoolers, students or as an audience.
What money will be accrued differentially from the 5th month until the end of 2023 and under what conditions
Starting from the 5th month until the end of 2023, families and single persons, beneficiaries of the Executive Decision of the Council (EU) 2022/382, will receive only assistance to cover living expenses, which will be provided on a differentiated basis, respectively 750 lei/month. for one person and 2000 lei/month for a family.
However, to receive this money, applicants must collectively meet the following conditions:
- a) the applicant and his family members must be employed
- b) have minor children enrolled in groups/classes/educational formations in units of pre-university education, as preschoolers, students or as an audience.
What is the mechanism of providing money
Mechanism for the payment of a lump sum to cover the cost of accommodation/meals in other places established by the Bucharest County/Municipal Emergency Committees for accommodation, namely:
- applicants must submit an application to the city hall, and the city hall checks through a computer application whether the person is a beneficiary of temporary protection and meets the conditions related to registration/employment and enrollment of children in educational units, and then allocates them to the places determined by the decisions of the county councils Committees / Municipality of Bucharest for emergency situations.
