The contracts of the two technicians expire at the end of April, but they have asked not to renew their commitments, the source said.
Alexandru Pelici headed the technical bench of the U19 national team in September 2022, having managed to qualify for the elite round this spring. The Tricolors missed out on qualifying for the final tournament after going 3-1 to Northern Ireland, 0-4 to Norway and 2-4 to France in the mini-tournament in March.
Daniel Mogoshanu has been the head coach of Romania’s junior national teams since July 2017, when he headed the U16 national team. He recently coached Romania’s under-18 national team, which will move up to the under-19 age group in the fall and make its debut in qualifying for the 2024 European Championship.
In the last matches of the team under the command of Mogoşan, Romania lost twice to Italy, 1-3 and 0-2, last month in the peninsula, writes Agerpres.
