At Porsche, we make people happy, but we also make people unhappy. Indeed, “Heritage” models such as the 911 Dakar, Sport Classic or the future ST are limited in number and not all customers may be satisfied.

The same goes for other models, albeit announced as unlimited, such as the Cayman GT4 RS and the new 911 GT3 RS, but this time it is rather the manufacturer’s policy to maintain an appropriate residual value.

As efficient as a real 911 Dakar?

The newly introduced Porsche 911 Dakar is limited to 2,500 units. And even at 230,000 euros per car at the base price today, it is impossible to find an order form without going through the second-hand market.

However, there is a way out for offended customers. Indeed, here is the new Porsche 911 SUV, but this time designed by delta4x4 and Vagabund. The first is a German tuner specializing in all-terrain vehicles, the second is a brand created by two Austrian designers.

Based on the Porsche 911 (992), probably in the 450 hp 4S version. and a torque of 530 Nm, the Porsche 911 from delta4x4 and Vagabund does not go unnoticed. Both companies have integrated 10 additional PIAA lights into it: four on the hood and six on the roof.

The chassis is raised by 80 mm like the Dakar, which is 50 mm more than the regular 911, and 30 mm more up to a top speed of 170 km/h. The wheels are shod in special Continental off-road tires. A black livery with “delta” lettering on the sides, hood and tailpiece completes the kit.

With a support car?

If you like the idea of going off the beaten path in this Porsche 911 and are on a tight budget (delta4x4 and Vagabund pricing has yet to be announced, however), you might want a companion car.

Good news: cash has also introduced a special Mercedes Sprinter 4×4, the aesthetic and technical finishing of which forces you to go off the beaten path.
