PROBLEM

The latest polls show at least a trend that is hard to ignore. The difference in favor of N.D. against SYRIZA is stable, but at the same time it becomes clear that self-confidence is not an easy goal. In the opinion dimension for “The Toc” N.D. it leads (down) with 32.5% to SYRIZA’s 26.3%, while PASOK is fixed at 10%. Similar are the results of the Alko poll, showing about the same difference, with N.D. by 31.6% and SYRIZA by 25.4%. Not much left before the final vote: the ballot box.

ACCIDENT

“The level of investment until the end of the year,” said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Egaleo. He was preceded by SYRIZA President Alexis Tsipras who accused him of “not only not leaving investment grade, but leaving a public debt increased by 44 billion euros, a private debt of 40 billion euros more than we delivered, and a deficit of the current the balance sheet is 10 times what we staked.” It was no coincidence that Mr. Mitsotakis repeated this promise from Western Athens, one of the regions he had chosen as a candidate for deputies. PASOK, as in all conflicts, so in the investment level conflict, distances itself and rejects both after disgust. However, Giannis Sturnaras, Governor of the Bank of Greece, set a realistic time horizon for the level of investment already on Saturday: after the elections and after assessing the policy statements of the new government.

FACE

In honor of an unknown, “famous” TV presenter who wants to “offer” through politics. Although in recent days there has been an extensive public discussion about the return of the list for nomination of deputies of the European Parliament or about some intermediate solution to exclude the possibility of the appearance of persons who are de facto popular due to their professional activities. such positions as, for example, actors, “players” in a reality show, sportsmen, TV presenters and other featured fellow citizens, parties cannot seem … independent. The latest example is the decision by Alexis Tsipras to include former TV presenter Rania Traskia (pictured) on the ballot or the return of journalists to the ND lists. in various regions inside and outside of Attica. In smaller parties, whether they are in or out of Parliament, these nominations are even more numerous, and they come mostly from second-rate secular or even low-class television columns. The only thing you can be sure of is that no one is really going to lose those viewers who spend the night in front of the TV screen in search of cheap answers to eternal questions. Thus, Kyriakos Velopoulos, and before him Giorgos Karatsaferis and many others, made political careers.

PLACE

Crete is in any case a place with special timeless independent tendencies, at least compared to the mainland. The duel between SYRIZA and PASOK in Heraklion Prefecture, which gathers half the population of Crete and has always been considered the “castle” of the ruling centre-left formation, will be decisive for the performances of Harilaou Trikoupis throughout the country, and also shows some trends in the further growth of Kumunduru’s potential. In 2019, SYRIZA topped 43%, ND scored about 30%, while PASOK scored 11.38%, nearly 3.5 points above the national average. PASOK believes that Mr. Androulakis’ background in Heraklion, as well as in neighboring Lassithi, could create conditions for the party to compete against both SYRIZA and N.D.

ATTACK

Janis Varoufakis has been submitting an official invitation to SYRIZA for cooperation since May last year, former Parliament Speaker and current head of Pleusis Eleftheria, Zoe Konstantinopoulou, said. Both members of the first government of SYRIZA-ANEL, between January and September 2015, know each other much better than Janis Varoufakis would like. The difference is that Mr. Varoufakis believes that pirouettes could lead him to parliament, possibly a government of losers, while Ms. Constantinopooulou, with her blunt bluntness, does not appear to be very inclined to embellish the situation.
