On Monday, the Kremlin said that Poland hates Russia, and the Polish government is under an attack of rampant Russophobia, but this disease, like any acute disease, will pass sooner or later, Lenta reports.
“Poland, which is simply gripped by an attack of Russophobia, hates us, just hates us. How crazy. They are all victims, they were deceived, simply bewitched. They are ready to hate Russians all their lives,” Kremlin press secretary Dmytro Peskov said.
“Sooner or later it will pass, like all acute diseases”, – expressed the opinion of the press secretary of President Vladimir Putin.
His comments came after Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, who also holds the defense ministry, announced a day ago that Warsaw was building one of the most powerful armies in Europe and that in two years it would have the most powerful ground forces in the region .
Blaszczak said on Monday that Poland had set such a goal to avoid a massacre similar to those committed by Russia in Buch or Irpin.
“We are forming many divisions, focusing our energy and attention on the east of our country. Because we proceed from the fact that even a piece of Polish land cannot be given to the aggressor. We will not allow such tragic events on Polish soil as Bucha or Irpin,” he emphasized.
The Russian Foreign Ministry, in turn, condemned the “madness” of Poland
In mid-February, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova launched an extremely harsh attack on Poland after the government in Warsaw announced that it had dismissed all Moscow-educated members of its diplomatic corps.
Zakharova compared this decision to the decision of the Inquisition in the Middle Ages, saying that it also fought against education.
“Central Europe was simply burned at the stake, in the central markets of people who talked about scientific discoveries. It is the predecessors of the current democracies, as they are called, [state] This is what civilized people do,” she told Sputnik radio station.
“Is it possible to cancel education? They canceled it. They put ideology above not only reality, but also knowledge (…) Poland has gone through this several times,” she added, condemning the Warsaw government’s decision as “a reincarnation of the worst practices.”
“A crazy decision, completely devoid of any logic, which they are proud of, but which is actually a shameful page in their history,” she continued the accusation.
She condemned the fact that this decision was made by Poland, which, according to her, “fully agreed with the West in all aspects of human rights”, and now violates these norms with its decisions.
