“Kill them all”: his boss paramilitary organization Wagner, Evgeny Prigozhinasked its members to no longer hold Ukrainian prisoners in response to a Telegram post that appeared depicts the execution of a member of the organization by the Ukrainian military.

“We do not know the name of our boy, who was wounded and killed by terrible Ukrainians. But we will kill everyone on the battlefield. We will take no more prisoners“, Prigogine emphasized yesterday in his audio message on Telegram.

He responded to an audio message posted on another Telegram account that supports Wagner, in which a Ukrainian military is heard calling for the shooting of a captured militant of the group.

The AFP agency has not confirmed the authenticity of the recording.

“When you hold a prisoner, you start taking care of him. You take care of him, do not harm him and send him back home after some time, changing him (for another prisoner) or just like that, ”said Prigozhin.

Blamed for many battlefield atrocities wherever it is stationed in the world, the Wagner Organization is at the forefront of the battle for Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine.

From the very beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Kyiv and Moscow accused each other of mistreating prisoners of war.

In mid-April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced the actions of Russian “monsters” after a video was posted on social media showing beheading of a Ukrainian prisoner of war.

Prigozhin denied accusations by the NGO and deserter Wagner that those responsible for the beheadings belonged to his group.
