A drone filled with explosives crashed in the Bogorodskoye district, northeast of the Russian capital Moscow, reports the TASS agency, citing Nova Gazeta.
The information was picked up by TASS and other Russian state media after multiple Russian Telegram channels reported the incident, saying that the drone was discovered by a local woman in the city of Noginsk in the woods.
Information is spreading in Russian Telegram channels and social networks that it is a Ukrainian UJ-22 “Airborne” drone, which has a range of up to 800 kilometers. One of these drones previously fell near the Gazprom facility in Kolomensk, another district of the Moscow region.
The new incident was confirmed by Andrii Vorobyov, the local governor, who said the drone “probably targeted a civilian object, but did not damage it.” He also stated that there were no victims as a result of the drone accident.
The UJ-22 Airborne is a multipurpose drone developed in Ukraine primarily for reconnaissance and intelligence gathering. This is not an impact drone like the famous Bayraktar TB2.

Russia accuses Ukraine of drone attacks on its territory
Baza, one of the most popular Telegram channels in Russia, claims that the drone was most likely loaded with C-4 explosives, although information on this is conflicting. But both “Baza” and other Russian Telegram channels claim that there were 17 kilograms of explosives on board the drone.

The Russian authorities and Moscow propaganda constantly accuse Ukraine of striking civilian objects located on the territory of Russia, without providing any concrete evidence. At the end of February this year, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced the termination of two alleged attacks by drones of Ukrainian forces in the south of the country.
But photos and information that appeared in social networks and the Russian press indicate that Ukrainian drones then appeared over several regions of Russia.
Roman Starovoit, the governor of Russia’s Kursk region, last Friday accused the Ukrainian armed forces of carrying out a drone attack on a tractor in the area, a claim that was widely mocked on social media.
Information about the new incident near Moscow is currently extremely limited, the Russian authorities say that they have started an investigation into this case.
