Tottenham suffered a heavy 6-1 humiliation at Newcastle after a rare start to the Premier League Round of 32 tie.

Newcastle started strongly at St James’ Park and opened the scoring in the 2nd minute through Jacob Murphy.

In the 10th minute, it was already 3-0 after the success of Joelinton and again Murphy. And Eddie Howe’s wards did not stop.

A double by Swede Oleksandr Isak in the 19th and 21st minutes led to an incredible 5:0.

After the break, goalscorer Harry Kane reduced the deficit for Tottenham in the 49th minute, but the hosts scored again through Callum Wilson in the 67th minute.

Thanks to this victory, “Newcastle” tentatively climbs to the podium with 59 points, and “Tottenham” remains in fifth position in the Premier League standings with 53 points.
