Holger Rune and Botik Van De Zandshulp will compete in the ATP 250 final in Munich on Sunday after beating Christopher O’Connell and Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals.

The main favorite of the tournament, Dane Holger Roon, easily qualified in a dispute with Australian Christopher O’Connell (82 ATP).

The defending champion needed two sets and an hour and 20 minutes of play to win 6-3, 6-2.

American second favorite Taylor Fritz (10 ATP) also lost to Botik Van De Zandschulp in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6(2).

The Dutchman, who is ranked 29th in the world, thus reaches the ATP Finals in Munich for the second consecutive year.

In the final act of the ATP Munich 2022, Holger Roon prevailed after Botik Van De Zandschulp was injured in the first set and had to withdraw.

The tournament in Munich runs from April 17 to 23 on clay, has a total prize pool of €562,815, and the main champion and main favorite is Denmark’s Holger Roon.
