Kyriakos Mitsotakis from Chania: “On May 21 all Crete will be blue”

“It was no coincidence that I ended up on our island that day. This is an important day, as I previously met with the President of the Republic, who initiated the dissolution of parliament and the announcement of elections on 21 May. The elections that we win, the New Democracy will win,” Kyriakos Mitsotakis said from the stage of the first, now official, ND election rally held today in the old port of Chania.

“At the moment I am talking to you, the seal of the presidential decree on its dissolution is being printed in the parliament. Our electoral journey officially begins, and our Chania becomes the starting point of a course that will determine the entire future of the country,” continued the president of New Democracy.

“No government since the post-colonial period has faced so many obstacles and such adverse conditions in such a short period of time. And yet we have overcome them all,” Mr. Mitsotakis said, keeping his eyes on the remaining four years.

“Greece in 2023 is not at all like what it was in 2015-2019,” the Prime Minister continued, stressing that “Greece remembers us, saw and knows us” and “does not want a second time in distress, but gives a second order for preemption.” .

“On May 21, all of Crete will be blue, like its sea and sky. Just like Greece will be blue. A Greece that does not turn back, but moves steadily, boldly and only forward,” concluded Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who earlier today visited the former camp of Taxiarchos Dimitrios Markopoulos, which was handed over to the municipality of Chania for operation.
