FC Botosani and Craiova 1948 each won by a point after the Whites drew in the fifth leg of the Super League play-off, in a match where the visitors can call themselves unlucky to miss out on a win.

Nicolo Napoli’s men started the game well and won with an 11-yard strike in the 23rd minute after Ivanov fouled Baetena, with the help of VAR replays.

The penalty was taken by Juan Bauza, but his weak shot was saved by goalkeeper Dukan.

The second half brought chances for both goals, but Olten were still more dangerous.

In the 62nd minute, Bahasa’s deep pass reached Bauza, who managed to score with a shot from the edge of the penalty area.

After reviewing the VAR image, referee Katelyn Popa disallowed the goal for offside.

After this result, “Botoshani” and “Kraiova 1948” remain in the fight for the first place in the play-out.
