The Russian, the second favorite in the race, beat Alex Molkan 6-2, 6-4. The match lasted an hour and 30 minutes and was at Andriy’s discretion.

Coached by Marian Wajda, Novak Djokovic’s former coach for many years, Molkan (world No. 73) lacked the weapons to really trouble Rublev.

The Russian is enjoying a very good moment in his career, having won the first Masters title of his career in Monte Carlo.

In Sunday’s grand final, Rublev will face the winner of the match between Dusan Lajovic (70 ATP – the one who defeated Novak Djokovic in the quarters) and Miomir Kecsmanovic (33 ATP).

The tournament in Banja Luka (Srpska Open) replaced the competition in Belgrade this year, and the Novak tennis center is undergoing renovation. The competition is part of the “ATP 250” category, takes place on clay and offers prize money of €562,815.
