The cumulative fine imposed on a beach bar in the Panormos area of Mykonos is 33 million euros.
€22.5 million relates to the unauthorized building fine and another €11 million relates to the unauthorized building maintenance fine. For each intervening year that the property does not continue to demolish buildings that have been classified as unauthorized, it will be asked to pay a €11 million fine starting this year. The owner has the right to appeal within ten days. After its finalization, the law makes it possible to suspend the activities of the business if the owner does not proceed with the demolition of illegal / unauthorized buildings.
It should be noted that in addition to the fine imposed on a particular store, a protocol was published yesterday for the demolition of unauthorized buildings in a beach bar and in Psarou in Mykonos.
The protocol was issued after inspections and autopsies carried out by environmental inspectors of the Ministry of the Environment from 4 to 11 April. And in this case, the owner has the right to appeal the decision to demolish within ten days.
According to the information, the areas, which, according to the inspectors, should be demolished, exceed 500 square meters.
At the same time, a multi-million dollar fine, reportedly over 14 million euros, was issued yesterday for urban development violations found at a beach bar in Panormos.
