Dominic Thiem beat Taylor Fritz at ATP Munich

US Open 2020 winner Dominic Thiem is far from his past successes after he also exited the Monte Carlo tournament in the round of 16.

The tournament’s second favorite, Taylor Fritz, absolutely dominated the match and won in two sets after one hour and 32 minutes.

In the semifinals, the American will fight the winner between Marcos Giron (68 ATP) and the Dutch Botik Van De Zandschulp (29 ATP).

Also on Friday, defending champion and top favorite Holger Roon defeated Christian Garin 6-2, 6-4 and will play the semifinals against Australian Christopher O’Connell (82 ATP).

The tournament in Munich takes place from April 17 to 23 on clay, has a total prize pool of €562,815, and the main champion and main favorite is Denmark’s Holger Roon.
