Casper Ruud knocked out by Francisco Cerundolo at ATP Barcelona
Norwegian Kasper Ruud, who is ranked 3rd in the WTA ranking, was eliminated from the 1/8 finals at the tournament in Barcelona.
Francisco Cerundolo (32 ATP) defeated him at the end of the match, which lasted one hour and 55 minutes.
Ruud got off to a great start in the first set and even controlled a large part of it, but at 5-2 the Nordic inexplicably collapsed and lost 3 straight games, tied at 5. Finally, the Argentinian won his first set on a tiebreak.
In the second set, Serundolo quickly won the first 3 games and thanks to his aggressiveness, he was able to finish the match and qualify for the quarters.
Sealed in style!
