Iga Sviatek, absent in Miami due to injury, reached the quarterfinals of the tournament in Stuttgart on Thursday.

The WTA leader needed an hour and 17 minutes to eliminate Qinwen Zheng (25 WTA), at the end of the match under the control of the Pole.
