In a conclusion of 228 pages, which is divided into 10 chapters, there is a division of responsibilities between organizations and individuals: OSE, ERGOSE, Transportation Regulatory Authority, Hellenic Train, as well as the fateful stationmastertaken into custody after a tragic accident, as well as train drivers who allegedly did not follow the rules.
There is also, reference to the need for immediate modernization of the railwayas chronic pathogens such as the need for radical changes in personnel reshuffling and training.
According to the Commission, the conclusion does not concern the imposition or distribution of responsibility (analyzes, not judges), the competence of which, according to the Constitution and the law, belongs only to the competent judiciary, which is already working on a quick step towards it.
The main concern of the members of the Commission was, after analyzing the circumstances of the tragic incident, to identify and identify problems in the entire composition of the participants, in the work of railway transport, bodies, organizations and bodies, in the exercise of the powers of individuals or legal entities and, in particular, to propose solutions that will contribute to – in in the context of other investigations, studies, proposals and initiatives of the competent authorities and authorities – to take all necessary measures to prevent the same or similar accidents in the future.
The Committee wishes that the results be used solely for the above purpose and in no case become the subject of political or partisan exploitation or confrontation, which is inconsistent with the tragic event under investigation for all. Greeks.
