Elli: European market leader
Elli is the first charging station operator to reach 500,000 charging points in its network, making it the leader in Europe. Since the beginning of the year, at least 100,000 new charging stations have been added to Elli’s network of almost 950 suppliers. 28 countries.
The Volkswagen Group is investing heavily in electric charging infrastructure to promote the development of electric mobility and the sale of electric vehicles. The Group Technology division of the German manufacturer is responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan for energy and charging infrastructure presented during Power Day 2021.
Volkswagen wants to become a leading supplier of intelligent charging and power systems, and since 2017 has expanded partnerships and collaborations, such as the Ionity and Ewiva joint ventures, as well as strategic partnerships with Iberdrola and BP, which contribute to the development of charging networks in Europe.
Elli: state-of-the-art equipment
To stand out from its competitors, Elli offers its customers service and innovation by using AC charging stations in cities as well as nearby 33,000 powerful charging points throughout Europe.
To improve usability, Plug&Charge technology facilitates charging by automatically identifying electric vehicles when they are connected to charging stations. To date, this service is already available at approximately 5,000 charging points in the Elli network.
Elli is a mobility service provider open to all brands of electric vehicles, with a transparent price list in all network countries and divided into three offers: Drive Free, Drive City and Drive Highway. Tariffs and commissions can be obtained and calculated online so that there are no surprises for customers. In addition to Elli customers, the eponymous network is of course available to customers of the German group’s brands that have the badges Seat/Cupra Easy Charging, Škoda Powerpass, Volkswagen We Charge or Audi Charging.
