“The Marines welcomed their new French-made cavalry, the AMX-10! We tried it with our soldiers and agreed to call the AMX-10 a “high-speed sniper rifle,” Oleksiy Reznikov wrote on his Twitter page.

He thanked French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecorne, President Emmanuel Macron and the French people for their “strong support” for the armored vehicles.

“These high-speed modern vehicles with a powerful gun will help us liberate our territory. This is what Liberty, Equality and Fraternity look like. Long live France! Long live Ukraine,” he concluded his address.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced at the beginning of January this year that France will supply Ukraine with AMX-10 RC armored vehicles, which are highly mobile armed reconnaissance vehicles that carry four people.

Ukraine is armed with more and more Western combat vehicles

The AMX-10 RC is armed with a powerful 105mm gun, giving it an imposing figure and earning it the nickname “tank on wheels”. These tanks participated in the wars in the Persian Gulf and the Afghan war, as well as in several military operations of France in Africa.

Earlier, the French media wrote that the Macron government agreed to first transfer a batch of 14 AMX-10 RC armored vehicles, and then their number will increase to 40.

At the end of March, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense also presented the Challenger 2 tanks received by Ukraine from Great Britain, saying that they will soon be thrown into battle.

And last week, the British army released a video of another super-powerful warhead being prepared for the Armed Forces of Kyiv – the 155-millimeter AS-90 howitzer.

Also, Ukraine has already received a significant part of the Leopard 2 heavy tanks promised by Poland and other partner countries.
