Icons with the face of Russian President Vladimir Putin would be sent to the Russian military mobilized for Easter, writes Sky News with reference to the independent investigation site Perm 36.6.
One of the mobilized told the newspaper that the icons were sent by United Russia party activists.
The packages were sent to Zaporizhzhia, and a video of their contents was published on the Perm 36.6 Telegram channel. In addition to cereals, noodles and canned food, there was also a package labeled “For prayer” that contained a bottle of holy water and an icon with Putin’s face on it.
