Ciro Immobile (Lazio), fractured rib after a tram hit his car

On Sunday morning, a driver ignored a red traffic light and crashed into Ciro Immobile’s car in the Cinque Jornate square.

Immobile, who was examined at Gemelli Hospital, suffered a broken rib and a spinal injury. Ciro is expected to be out for at least 15 days and is likely to miss the games against Torino (April 22 at Stadio Olimpico) and Inter Milan (April 30 at San Siro).

Michela (10), the footballer’s eldest daughter, was monitored for 24 hours at the same clinic, while Giorgia (8) left the Bambino GesĂș hospital on Sunday in good condition.

The tram driver and some passengers were taken to different clinics in Rome with minor injuries.

Ciro scored 10 goals this season in Serie A. Immobile was the top scorer in 2017/18 (29 goals), 2019/20 (36 goals) and 2021/22 (27 goals).
