SpaceX: The launch of the world’s largest rocket was aborted due to a malfunction

SpaceX canceled today’s launch of the largest rocket ever built on the planet due to a last-minute malfunction.

The launch of the giant starship from the Starbase facility in South Texas was scheduled for today at noon, the rocket has already been placed on the platform, and the image was broadcast live on the SpaceX channel.

However, shortly before the launch, Elon Musk announced that the pressure valve had frozen and if it did not restart soon, the launch would be delayed. The launch window was compressed, only 150 minutes, and the first flight was eventually delayed.

The second launch attempt will take at least 48 hours, the company announced.

“Success is possible, passion is guaranteed!” the SpaceX founder tweeted after the company received permission to launch Starship from the Federal Aviation Administration late last Friday.

Starship is a huge spacecraft with a height of about 120 meters.

NASA’s Saturn V rocket, which launched the Apollo missions, was 111 meters high, while the Artemis rocket (also known as SLS), which will take astronauts back to the moon, is 98 meters high.

Starship is also the most powerful rocket ever built. At 75 meganewtons of thrust, it has twice the thrust of the SLS.

The greater the thrust of a rocket, the more weight it can lift from the ground and carry into space.

SpaceX estimates that the reusable form of the rocket will be able to carry up to 150 tons of cargo and crew on each flight.

The launch may have been aborted, but preparations for the now virtual test are ongoing and the rocket will be loaded with fuel as usual.

All scheduled launch procedures will proceed as normal up to the ten second mark prior to StarShip launch. The clock will then stop and the team will resolve technical issues.
