King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s husband have personally chosen the recipe for Coronation Quiche, a dish to be served at next month’s coronation events, Buckingham Palace announced on Monday, Reuters reported.
The dish, which contains spinach, broad beans and tarragon, refers to “Coronation Chicken”, a curry and mayo dish created for the coronation of Charles’ mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in 1953.
Buckingham Palace said on its website that the dish had been chosen personally by Charles and Camilla and was “easily adaptable to different tastes and preferences”, presenting the recipe for hundreds of public dinners planned across the UK to mark the event from May 6.
Three days of festivities are planned, beginning on Saturday, May 6, to mark the coronation of Charles III.
King Charles will be crowned at Westminster Abbey in London in a lavish ceremony marked by 1,000 years of tradition, in an event attended by heads of state and dignitaries.
