Minister of Investments and European Projects, Marcel Bolos, announced that new vouchers are being prepared, which can be used by 220,000 Romanians, namely families with more than five children, people who cannot work or elderly people who live without any support . The voucher can be used to repair a house or replace household appliances, such as a refrigerator, stove or washing machine, the PNL minister added.

“We have two types of vouchers here. This is a voucher for living conditions, for home repair, 4,000 lei/voucher. And we also have a voucher for household appliances. Here we discuss the three main household appliances such as stove, washing machine and refrigerator that we try to provide to ensure the social integration of the beneficiaries. And they will also cost 4,000 lei,” Bolosh explained to Antena3.

According to the minister, 220,000 families who will be beneficiaries of these vouchers will not have a pre-established standard. “We are trying through social surveys and through the fact that in each connected center, which will work together with the local authorities, we will finance personnel costs for a social, medical and educational assistant. Three experts will conduct a social survey so that each family, analyzed separately, can determine the profile of the social needs it has. For example, he needs house maintenance and replacement of household electrical equipment. Why is this necessary? To ensure the best use of this money, let’s not set a standard from Bucharest, and then it does not meet the profile of the needs of the beneficiaries”, Minister Marcel Bolosh explained on Monday on Antena 3.

He clarified that there will also be an assistance package for the elderly.

“We are now announcing this package of social services for the elderly for the first time, and it includes social services at home, including, if the elderly live in social housing owned by the municipality, then funds are also allocated for the repair of these houses. Home care services, medical services, including public catering services, if they do not have sufficient livelihood and do not have adequate income. They will also take advantage of the hot food,” said Bolos.

“This will be supported by social canteens at town halls or just simple food services that we support, including providing town halls with transport equipment, transport vehicles that are adapted for such services. This type of service for the elderly is the first in our country, and we are trying to offer a comprehensive package of social services. We have not yet determined the amount that will be for each individual beneficiary, but it is important to remember that we have a budget of 150 million euros and we are trying to use this money to target these types of services to the needs of older people. , to be able to receive all these services for appropriate replacement and appropriate social integration,” Minister Bolosh concluded.
