New world record in push ups Australian dad did 3206 reps in just one hour.
For 60 minutes at his nearby gym in Brisbane, Lucas Helmke did 53 push-ups per minute, managing to break the record of another Australian.
An accountant by profession, the 33-year-old told the Guinness World Records committee that he wanted to inspire his one-year-old son by showing him that “nothing is impossible.”
Each push-up had to be flawless in order to qualify for an official world record.

Helmke had to keep his torso straight during the lift, not bending his knees and waist, and his elbows to make an angle of at least 90 degrees with each fall.
