
Holy Light was delivered by special flight from Jerusalem to Greece.
In the afternoon, a Greek delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis received the Holy Light from Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem. The Aegean plane landed at 20:31 at the Athens airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.
“The Holy Light brings hope and comfort in the tragedy of Tempe. After the Cross, there is Resurrection, and after death, there is life,” Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher Raphael said in his message.
AEGEAN and Olympic Air planes will deliver the Holy Light to 8 destinations in Greece.
