Danco Laboratories, maker of mifepristone abortion pills, today asked the US Supreme Court to block lower court restrictions on the use of the drug in a lawsuit filed by anti-abortion groups.
Danco has filed an emergency motion asking judges to delay enforcement of US District Judge Matthew Katzmarik’s ruling in Texas to significantly curtail the distribution of the pills while the lawsuit continues.
US Attorney General Merrick Garlnut said yesterday that President Joe Biden’s administration will also be seeking an emergency Supreme Court ruling as the federal government tries to protect access to the same drug.
