Fear and horror for a 35-year-old man from the gypsy village of Diavati, who, pretending to be an insignificant pretext, blackmailed him for several days with a payment of 20,000 euros.

The perpetrator, according to police, repeatedly sent offensive and threatening videos to the couple’s mobile phone, while he did not hesitate to “visit” his victims in their home, threatening the woman with a gun, shooting a gun in the air for bullying and causing damage.

After a police search, a 35-year-old man was located in Evosmos by officers of the Thessaloniki Prosecutor’s Office for extortion and arrested after a chase after he tried to escape, making dangerous maneuvers and endangering the safety of road users.

He was prosecuted and taken to the prosecutor’s office for attempted extortion, dangerous driving, intimidation, disorderly conduct, verbal abuse, damage to foreign property, and violation of gun laws.
