Holger Roon defeated Danylo Medvedev at ATP Monte Carlo

Daniil Medvedev, ranked No. 5 in the ATP rankings, suffered only his third defeat of 2023.

Medvedev quite decisively lost the first set, although he managed to take 3 games, and in the second action it was the Dane who led the fighting.

Daniil Medvedev led 3-2 and 4-3, but Roon came back each time to ensure his presence in the ace box in Monte Carlo.

Here Roone will face the winner of the duel between Lorenzo Musetti (21 ATP) and Yannick Sinner (8 ATP).
