Tomorrow, on Holy Saturday, a special AEGEAN flight will depart from Athens in the morning, which will be free for the Greek government to deliver Holy Light from Jerusalem in Greece.

On board the aircraft will be Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis, who will take part in the Lighting Ceremony at the Holy Resurrection Church.

The Deputy Foreign Minister will receive the Holy Light from His Beatitude Patriarch of Jerusalem, Mr. Theophilus III, with whom he will meet, according to a corresponding message from the Foreign Ministry.

Holy Light is expected to arrive at Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport at approximately 19:30 on an AEGEAN A320neo aircraft, after which it will be distributed throughout Greece.

In the mission to hold the ceremony of touching and transferring the Holy Light, in addition to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Greece, Archimandrite Raphael, Deputy from New Democracy Maximos Charakopoulos, President of the Inter-Parliamentary, the Synod of Orthodoxy and members of the Synod participate: from SYRIZA Stavros Keletsis and from New Democracy Tanasis Davakis.
