
A 27-year-old foreigner who was in possession of over 8.5 kg of heroin was arrested in Ampelokipis, Thessaloniki, and is believed to be a member of an organized drug ring.
According to EL.AS., police officers from the General Directorate of the Anti-Narcotics Prosecutor’s Office in Thessaloniki seized 18 parcels containing a total of 8 kg and 561 grams of heroin, an amount that was estimated to have ended up in drug dens in Thessaloniki Prefecture .
According to police, the 27-year-old’s role in the gang’s activities was to obtain, store and further sell drugs.
The detained woman, originally from Albania, was taken to the prosecutor’s office for criminal prosecution.
