Inhabitants of Lagadas village Thessaloniki they complain about exorbitant water bills.

According to ERT, increases are as high as 700%, and local residents are calling for the water and sewer utility’s new pricing policy to be scrapped.

Invoices, which in some cases exceed 2,000 euros, began to be sent at the beginning of the year.

Tenants refuse to pay when the first relevant decision of the world court “freezes” the process of turning off the water in case of non-payment.

According to the report, local residents intend to appeal to justice en masse.
