
A few months after the launch of the new BMW XM, the German manufacturer presents a special version of its new electrified SUV called BMW XM Red label. A version limited to just 500 units worldwide is also planned, with an exclusive ‘Frozen Carbonschwarz’ black metallic finish.
The world premiere of the BMW XM Label Red will take place at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2023, and production will begin in August 2023 at the BMW plant in Spartanburg, USA.
BMW XM Label Red: an aggressive look
While the BMW XM already displays muscular and impressive lines, the BMW XM Label Red Special Series stands out by contrasting “Toronto” red accents, which can be found on the radiator grille, the outline of the side windows, the abbreviations, the 21-inch wheels or even the rear panel. These color accents can also be customized in black for a more aggressive look. Going even further, customers can also choose from a palette of 50 BMW Individual exterior colors via the online configurator.
The interior also ostentatiously combines black and red: there is black leather upholstery that contrasts with red accents on the top stitching, air vents, seat tops and steering wheel paddles. The BMW XM Label Red also features a red “XM” badge below the control screen and a satin carbon fiber insert in the colors of BMW M. To remind of the exclusivity of the limited series, license plate “1/500” is displayed.
Among the standard equipment are several driver assistance systems such as forward collision warning, lane departure warning with lane return and steering assistance, evacuation assistant, vigilance assistant, speed limit information system, Park Assist Plus, not to mention about BMW Live Cockpit. Navigation Pro with the latest generation of the BMW iDrive system.
BMW XM Label Red: 748 horsepower hybrid V8
There is under the hood hybrid engine strong 748 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torquewhich combines a V8 gasoline engine with a capacity of 585 horsepower and 750 Nm with an electric motor with a capacity of 197 horsepower and 280 Nm, which are connected to the all-wheel drive system xDrive through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Bavarian firm announces that the BMW XM Label Red is simply the most powerful model it has ever produced. In terms of performance, 0 to 100 km/h is swallowed 3.8 seconds, for a top speed of 250 km/h, which can be increased to 290 km/h with the optional M Experience package. And thanks to the battery with a capacity of 25.7 kWh, it can even drive up to 83 kilometers in 100% electric modeaccording to the WLTP cycle.
Orders for the BMW XM Label Red are open in France from April 12, 2023: the model is presented from €203,000 for the Label Red version and €213,000 for the Label Red, limited to 500 units, with the exclusive “Frozen Carbonschwarz” body color.
