Only a few months have passed since the new generation BMW X1 officially went on sale. By the way, it was first introduced in June 2022, at the same time as its electric version. Both variants are based on an all-new platform known as FAAR, which is also shared with the third version of the Mini Countryman. Thus, a very recent launch in the line of the Propeller brand and already the first campaign to recall the SUV in its thermal and electric versions. We explain everything you need to know.

Unlike some recall campaigns that are very important, the campaign relates BMW X1 and iX1 does not have a very large value. Indeed, only 168 vehicles were affected in total in France. Suffice it to say, it’s quite a bit, which is normal given the car’s young age. But then what is the problem? The problem here concerns hatch. A faulty drain line can cause water to enter one of the electronic control units under the hood. Thus, it may cause the headlights or the central locking system to break. But other problems may arise.

Indeed, it is also possible that it does braking and steering assistance. The risk of fire also exists, even if it is exceptional. All affected customers will be contacted by their dealer as this recall affects vehicles manufactured between July 4 and September 15, 2022. The repair is fully supported by BMW and requires at least half a day of vehicle downtime.
