The intimidation caused serious damage to the family, education and society throughout Greece. But even – and despite the appearance of many worthy articles in the media – the depth of “evil” does not seem to be understood and not believed. My ally in this matter is the lack of preventive measures and, above all, the impunity of the perpetrators. As I have emphasized in my previous articles, this phenomenon is part of the structural problem of Greek society, which gives some people or groups the illusion that they “have the right to use violence”, and this manifests itself on a social level with vandalism in cities and public buildings , on an individual level with the murder of women, children and animals, with the sexual, moral, mental and social rape of all those who belong to the “special”, therefore weak and powerless minorities. Greek society found itself with very weak bonds of social cohesion, and therefore I fear that at the height of the crisis, which nothing in the international economic and military environment excludes, group and individual phenomena of violence will escalate uncontrollably.

So, I return to bullying as an indicator of violence, and a gloomy picture immediately emerges: the phenomena have been upgraded quantitatively and qualitatively. Intimidation has deeply “bitten” Greek society, and therefore I will translate it into Greek so that the words do not “bite” us deeper and maybe now we will wake up: violence, terrorism, humiliation, humiliation, exploitation, seduction, rape, pain, trauma . , sadism, victory of lawlessness, seduction of evil… gang, leader, followers, eyewitnesses… complicity, silence, concealment, impunity… victim, loneliness, despair, injustice, withdrawal, melancholy, disgust… Your scene is now known. I give the words not so that you mentally remember, but in order to live it, to allow yourself to enter into the horror of touching the feelings of a humiliated victim, but also the horror of the sadistic feelings of a criminal imagining himself or a child in both places yours.

At the very least, these feelings take hold of me, and they prompt me today to draw your attention not to the widely discussed possible causes of the increase in violence, not to the horrendous negative consequences that will be for a minor who is subjected to chronic terror. Homilik, but to the criminal. Unfortunately, we stick to justification tactics, immediately looking for “reasons” why “children” (the first justification trick) behave violently. Time to bring down some of them:

Unfortunately, we stick to the tactics of justification, immediately looking for “reasons” why “children” behave aggressively.

1. “Kids” criminals, usually teenagers or teenagers, do not behave aggressively. It’s cruel! Only a few of them resort to violence due to special circumstances. Bullying and terrorism are deliberate, addictive acts with sadistic pleasure and the satisfaction of sick narcissism. Criminals are, if they have not yet formed, potentially psychopathic personalities. They should only be treated as such, and this requires a triple action: a) appeal to justice, conviction, sentence, suspension – if permitted by law – compulsory social work in a service they consider “humiliating”, b) exposure to their school course, since violence is usually practiced in the school environment, c) forced psychotherapy.

2. The family does not turn out to be a source of evil, as various “psychologists” easily write. This is evidenced by the fact that “leader” actors come from all families, from all social strata and from all areas (urban and rural) of the country. It is known that from about 8 years old, and certainly from the beginning of adolescence, society has more influence on the formation of young people than their family. Thus, the family is not guilty from the point of view of the genesis of “evil”, but becomes guilty if, after exposing the misdeed of their child, it denies it, moves along illegal paths to concealment and impunity. On the contrary, the family must accept the reality and, together with the court, the school and the psychological service, make an active contribution to the treatment and social integration of their sick child.

3. School is a generating factor of “evil”. Not because of the pathogenicity of its officials (unfortunately, for many years teachers have been victims of violence by students and their parents). The school is a generating factor of violence as an institution due to the ambiguity of its function in the reward-punishment system and mainly because it has not strengthened its role as an environment for the development of a creative collective community. This role, in my opinion, must be immediately developed, because it alone represents the matrix for the necessary education and for tomorrow’s better society.
