The extortion prosecutor’s office proceeded to arrest a 25-year-old foreigner when he tried to pull out a gun he had in a nightclub in Athens during an investigation by EL.AS police officers. in the early morning hours of Sunday (9/4).

As part of operational-search activities, a total of 14 stores were checked, 20 people, four of them were detained.

With regard to a specific incident where police entered a store in Athens to check on patrons who were deemed suspicious, a 25-year-old man attempted to escape while at the same time trying to pull out a pistol that was hidden. on the belt at the waist.

The police officers immediately blocked his forthcoming movement and immobilized him, despite the resistance he offered. During a personal search, a pistol with a 7-round magazine and a pair of bone gloves were found and seized.

During a further search of his house, the following were found and seized:

• shotgun,
• air gun,
• bat,
• 29 rounds and
• 4 ampoules of powder gas

The detainee will be taken to the Athenian Criminal Prosecutor’s Office.
