In the “target” of the American satirical show Saturday night life (SNL) the former President of the United States has re-entered, Donald Trump.
Although the image of the Last Supper is shown at the beginning, the place of Jesus and his disciples is then taken by Donald Trump, played by James Austin Johnson– who compares his recent quote with 34 felony charges with… the sacrifice of Jesus.
“Alas, one of you will betray me,” said Jesus, played by Mickey Day– to his students, adding: “Although I have not committed any crime, but I will be arrested, tried and found guilty.”
“Reminds you of something”; Johnson said like Trump. “A famous, wonderful person, arrested for nothing. If you haven’t figured it out yet, my friends, I’m comparing myself to Jesus again. And this is the best moment when we celebrate Easter.” Johnson continued, “As we speak, I’m being persecuted for something the world has never seen, worse than Jesus.”
“Yet Jesus rose from the dead on the third day. I would do it faster. Probably in two days. I think Jesus could have done it much faster too. It was business acumen. He turned water into wine – pure profit. And he held big rallies, just like me.”
Toward the end of the satirical skit, Johnson—that is, Trump—made another comparison: “Like Jesus, all I did was befriend a prostitute, and now they want to put me in jail,” he said.
