Madrid “Real” made another miscalculation in La Liga and, apparently, does not keep up with the competitor “Barcelona”. The current champion of Spain was defeated by Villarreal (3:2) in a very spectacular match.

Samuel Chukwueze, Thibaut Courtois’ nightmare

After a fantastic Copa del Rey thrashing of FC Barcelona (4-0), Real Madrid didn’t look too good at the Santiago Bernabeu against Villarreal.

“Los Blancos” opened the scoring in the 16th minute, Pau Torres scored in his own goal.

Before the break, Villarreal restored the tie. Giovani Lo Celso found Samuel Chukwueze brilliantly, he beat Nacho brilliantly and set up Thibaut Courtois (min 39).

In the second half, Vinicius Junior put Real Madrid ahead with a superb goal (48th minute), but Jose Luis Morales equalized for the visitors in the 71st minute.

“Yellow Submarine” felt the moment and in the 80th minute Samuel Chukwueze made a double with a fantastic final shot. Thibaut Courtois jumped spectacularly, but had no chance to deflect the Nigerian’s shot.

The final score is 3:2, and the visitors are slowly but surely approaching the places in the Champions League.
