
A 30-year-old mother of one died of burns this Saturday afternoon while burning branches in an olive grove in the Mistegna region of eastern Lesvos.
This is a common task in all the olive groves of the island during this period.
However, for unknown reasons, the woman fell into the fire, and her husband rushed to pull her out, as a result of which he himself received burns on his hands.
With a superhuman effort, the woman was transferred to the nearest road, where an ambulance could drive up, however, when she arrived, the woman was already dead.
The police and fire department, as well as forensic experts, arrived on the scene.
