Marcus Rashford was injured and is doubtful for the match against Sevilla in the Europa League

Manchester United won their second successive Premier League title on Saturday and Old Trafford are in contention for a place in next season’s Champions League groups.

However, the “red devils” received very bad news. Marcus Rashford, the team’s best player, has suffered a rather nasty injury and is currently doubtful for Thursday’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla.

The England international scored the decisive assist in the 71st minute of the match for Martial’s goal, but was replaced in the 81st minute by Wout Weghorst after injury.

Rashford felt something in his groin and headed straight for the dressing room, giving his shirt to a happy young fan.

At the end of the game, the Manchester United manager spoke about Marcus Rashford’s problem.

“We have to wait, it doesn’t look good at all. Again, such problems are due to the program. We have to protect our players. You can’t play 3 games in 6 days.” – said Erik ten Heg.

Rashford started in United’s 2-0 defeat at Newcastle and also played against Brentford, scoring the only goal of the game.

Manchester United will play Sevilla in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday at 10pm.
