Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met today with Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Mr. Theodore II, in Maxim’s palace.
At their meeting, an overview of issues related to the embassy Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria was held, the problems and challenges that it is called upon to manage in the area of its jurisdiction were discussed in detail, and the importance of its role was emphasized.
The Prime Minister confirmed to the Patriarch the government’s undivided support in all matters relating to the Church of Alexandria and the Greek Orthodox flock in Africa.
