The police in the city of Dnipro detained a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate for defiling his biological daughters, Ukrainian Pravda writes with reference to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to the investigation, the priest allegedly began to corrupt his 13- and 15-year-old daughters after the death of his wife.
The girls told their older brother about it, and he immediately informed the police.
The priest was detained and served with a notice of suspicion of child molestation.
The results of the investigation confirmed the information.
Priests of the Moscow Patriarchate were filmed on Wednesday preventing a memorial service for a Ukrainian soldier. The family stood for an hour with the coffin in front of the church, after prelates and believers barricaded the door or threatened with fire extinguishers.
Over the weekend, a priest and several believers from Khmelnytskyi beat a military man in one of the churches of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.
We will also remind that the abbot of the Pechersk Lavra Orthodox monastery in Kyiv, Metropolitan Pavel Lebida, was placed under house arrest on Saturday after consideration of the question of whether he glorified the Russian army and fueled religious differences.
