Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is in intensive care at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, according to a Reuters source. According to ANSA, Berlusconi arrived at the hospital with breathing problems. The condition of the ex-premier is still stable.
The 86-year-old billionaire, media mogul and four-time prime minister has dealt with a number of health issues in recent years and was released from the hospital last week.
In 2016, Berlusconi underwent major heart surgery and also suffered from prostate cancer. Over the past two years, he has been repeatedly hospitalized after contracting Covid-19 in 2020.
San Rafael Hospital did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
